The lecture was inspiring although I didn't see all of it and his book was just packed with of tidbits of wisdom. I thoroughly enjoyed his anecdotes and stories of his various life experiences.
I know this could very well be his last hurrah but I have known someone who had stage IV melanoma and after 15 years, he is still with us. So I hope and pray that Randy Pausch will be around to grace us with another one of his wonderful lectures.

I've never heard of that book, but it sounds like it's for a good cause.
pausch is not receiving money for his book. he is already very well off financially.
