Crazy Soccer Days

Now that my boys are grown, I miss my days as a crazy soccer mom. My husband and I used to coach our sons teams over a period of several years. I also enjoyed going to every game and cheering the team on. It was so exciting to see the boys do well. We took the teams to 5 on 5 tournaments out-of-town and always played in the yearly local soccer jamboree.

I remember one year we were in the finals of the jamboree and we had to play a team that was notorious for bad sportsmanship. All the teams that had played and lost to them, came out to support our team. We had some bad calls made by the refs. It was a great game. The boys were disappointed to come in second but they played their hearts out and that is all you can ask.
